Short Note: Very interesting entry today. I feel weirdly inspired by it. Hope you do too. Enjoy!
Heavy sleep and high glycemia. Peaceful morning. Still cloudy. I had breakfast with François Cluzet. I asked him if there was an expression in French equivalent to chiudere, which in Italian theater designates the act of fixating a scene. That implies a mental attitude. The scene is rehearsed until it becomes automatic, mechanical, almost a series of reflex acts. It’s closed. And from that gesture machine you make it live again, get dirty. It’s between the interpretation (rational, because it implies staging in relation to the chains of gestures and words) and the hypnotic possession of the actor by the events of the already rehearsed play. Daimon and grace. Consolation and contemplation: cœur double.
